Water Lilies is an eleven-minute quintet, scored for piano, marimba, vibraphone, glockenspiel, and timpani. It’s an intricate and technically challenging piece, inspired by Claude Monet’s sublime Nymphéas series of paintings. Steve Ridley made the excellent midi version that can be heard here.

To Immortal Bloom is an eight-minute quartet for soprano, vibraphone, cello, and piano. The lyrics were drawn from poetry by the American author Conrad Aiken. The audio file here was recorded in Toronto in February, 2020 during a series of concerts featuring my vocal chamber music. The performers are: Andrea Ludwig, soprano; Midori Koga, piano; Allison Rich, cello; Bob Becker, vibraphone.

Two of my older compositions also published by KPP, Mudra (1990) and Unseen Child (2002), will be included on an upcoming showcase concert by the Hungarian ensemble Amadinda Percussion Group at PASIC 22 in Indianapolis, IN (Sagamore Ballroom, November 10th, at 8:00PM). Both pieces appear on Amadinda’s most recent album Legacies 10.
