This is a review of a concert by one of the earliest incarnations of The Bob Becker Ensemble, a group organized to perform my chamber percussion repertoire. At this time the group consisted of pianist Nikki Stoia, marimbist Christopher Norton and soprano Barbara Hannigan. Those three performers stayed with me in the ensemble for several years. Also playing on the concert in Norfolk, VA were Rob Cross, John Feddersen and Eric Schweikert, with whom I had worked previously at the Eastern Music Festival in Greensboro, NC.
