Visiting Artist Residencies

Bill Cahn brings decades of experience world-wide in performance, education, arts administration, and community outreach to his residencies. Planned in collaboration with host organization(s), the goal of the residencies is to celebrate the power of music to enrich lives and the joy of music-making through skill development and the interactive sharing of ideas and concepts. Residency activities selected by the host organization may include:

  • Workshops on orchestral repertoire, percussion performance techniques, the business of music, career development, arts in education, improvisation, teaching and learning strategies
  • Masterclasses (critiques of student performances)
  • Private Lessons in percussion performance
  • Arts in Education performances (single programs or sequential residencies) in the public schools
  • Gala Concert (performances in collaboration with student soloists and ensembles, including compositions by Bill Cahn.)

Typical Residency Schedule – 2 to 5 days
