Summer vacation is over. Mine featured a 4000 km. road trip (2000 km. each way), with two musicians (husband and son), so we made tracks to the accompaniment of wonderful music showcasing some great jazz drummers. It got me thinking about the great drum-set artists with whom NEXUS has performed: Peter Erskine, Ed Thigpen, Steve Gadd, and Fritz Hauser are just a few that come to mind.
All of us here at NEXUS are back in our offices and studios and looking forward to a great season. Coming up, we have a very special anniversary celebration with Soundstreams in Koerner Hall, John Cage Anniversary events, guest artists, rare works, new commissions, and more, so check back frequently for the latest news.
